The current federal budget standoff and threatened government shutdown could result in limited or no access to courthouses in Washington, DC. Court clerks in DC courts have been informed that should the government shutdown proceed, they will be furloughed. In the event of a government shutdown, County House Research will continue daily trips to DC-area courthouses to check on court opening status. We will keep you apprised of developments as information becomes available and we apologize for any inconvenience.
